Three cheers for our volunteers!

During National Volunteer Week, we are sending out a massive thank you to all of our volunteers.

Today in particular, we thank two of our longest serving volunteers, they truly are part of the GCLS team.

Alycia started volunteering with GCLS in 2011. Alycia has gained valuable experience with GCLS as well as making a great contribution to our team. We have watched as Alycia has developed wonderful skills with both written correspondence and interaction with clients. Alycia was one of our first volunteers to provide supervised legal advice to clients and as one of our longest standing volunteers she assists new volunteers to learn new tasks. A local at heart, Alycia now travels a long way to volunteer at our service, but she's always enthusiastic and willing to go the extra mile. We are very lucky to have Alycia volunteering with us and know she will make a great lawyer one day.

Thank you Alycia!

Sharon is a joy to have in the office. Supporting GCLS through intake and administrative work, Sharon is organised, efficient and has great empathy for our clients. Sharon brings with her a wealth of skills and experience, including her work as a volunteer at the local courts. Despite facing some challenges over the past year, Sharon is committed to supporting her local community and her dedication as a volunteer is hard to match. We appreciate all of Sharon's hard work and feel extremely lucky that she is part of our team.

Thank you Sharon!
